2024 BMPP TCB Award.jpg

The BMPP Giving Circle is made up of a group of families who believe that we can build a better future for all children by coming together to celebrate, learn about, and provide resources to fuel the change we want to see in the world.

We are Asian American families whose paths to America include that of immigrating as refugees and adoptees. We’ve benefited from the generosity of those who’ve come before us, and are part of generous cultures. We see our role as being a part of living out that generosity to support the community doers who are stepping up to meet the needs and challenges facing community everyday. We recognize that while Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander communities are not receiving equitable philanthropic and government support to serve our diverse communities, we can still do our part to support them, because when they succeed we all benefit. We also believe that it’s our work to model generosity for our children because what we build now will impact future generations.

Pho is often one of many noodle soup dishes often served as the “Asian chicken noodle soup for the soul” across many Asian family gatherings. BMPP sparks family-table-talk conversations that are intergenerational and unconventional. Maybe over a good bowl of pho.  Internally, we see ourselves a “Bad Mo Pho Phamily.” There’s humorous swagger with the way it’s said and hearty laughs that comes with being a part of the “Bad Mo Pho Phamily”:

“Bad” :: Because we’re here to challenge how things have “always” been done
“Mo Pho” :: Because there’s always enough pho to go around the table
“Phamily” :: Because we’re here to make a difference with our families and communities

Above all else, we want to laugh and learn together as we give back. It’s contagious.

Talk to us about being a Bad Mo Pho-er.
We’ll be glad to share and welcome your family into ours.
